How Does DermaV Work?
DermaV uses two advanced laser wavelengths — 532 nm and 1064 nm — allowing us to customize treatment based on the depth, color, and type of concern being treated.
532 nm wavelength
The 532 nm wavelength is particularly effective for superficial vascular concerns, making it an excellent option for treating visible facial blood vessels, telangiectasias, cherry angiomas, redness, and other superficial vascular lesions.
1064 nm wavelength
The 1064 nm wavelength penetrates deeper into the skin and can be used for deeper vascular concerns, laser hair reduction, and skin rejuvenation, including treatments designed to stimulate collagen and improve overall skin quality.
What Does a DermaV Treatment Feel Like?
Most patients describe DermaV as very tolerable, with little to no discomfort.
Depending on the treatment, you may feel a brief warming, snapping, or tingling sensation as the laser pulses. DermaV incorporates cooling technology to help keep the skin comfortable during treatment.
No two treatments are exactly alike, so your experience will depend on the area being treated and the specific settings used.
Is There Any Downtime?
One of the biggest benefits of DermaV is that many treatments require little to no downtime.
After treatment, you may experience temporary: redness, mild swelling, warmth or sensitivity, temporary darkening or changes in the appearance of treated vessels. These effects typically resolve as the skin recovers.
Your post-treatment instructions will depend on the area and condition being treated. Sun protection is especially important following laser treatment.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of treatments varies depending on what we're treating and how your skin responds.
Some small facial vessels may show a dramatic improvement during a single treatment, while conditions such as rosacea, diffuse redness, hair growth, or overall skin rejuvenation may benefit from a series of treatments.
